June .:. Jersey // Jenny by Vikisews, Concord Tee by Cashmerette
Welcome to the June finale of Sew Your Wardrobe Basics. This month was all about the jerseys! I managed to sew up three T-Shirts and I’m very curious what you made in June.
You are invited to share your basic makes from June in the Link-tool above.
I started with tha Gable Top from Jennifer Lauren… and I’m very sorry, but I hated the pattern on me: the shoulder, the bust… nothing fits (even after a full bust adjustment).
Then I tried the Jenny by Viki Sews, it’s the golden-brown tee in the pictures. This tee pattern is very fitted and I made no alterations. The tee is perfekt to tuck it into skirts or trousers.
The thirt pattern I tried were the The Concord T-shirt by Cashmerette, again I made no alterations. I made the green and blue tees. Both fabrics aren’t very stretchy so, the tee is a bit tighter then with a stretchy viskose jersey. Personally I like the tighter look, especially when tucked in. The neckline of the green tee is a bit wavy (it was the first tee made of fabric with this little stretch), but the blue tee is quite nice. I chose my bust sice after the Cashmerette recommendation in the pattern, but I’m not wuite happy with the fit (maybe because of the little stretch of the fabric). I’m not sure if I should go one bust size up…
Unfortunately I haven’t had the time to try the The Wardrobe Builder T by Wardrobe by me, but I hope I will find some time to try this, too.
I haven’t found the perfect perfect tee pattern… still on the hunt, but these three tees are quite alright.
Tomorrow I’ll announce the Sew Your Wardrobe Basics theme for July and hope to see you again here.
Have a great Wednesday.
